The different colors of Gold & what they mean

Rose gold, peach gold, white gold — same karat, completely different looks. Why can two pieces of identical purity wear different colours? The answer is what’s inside.

Colour comes from the mix

Only 24K (99.9%) and 22K (91.6%) gold must look classically golden. Below that, the alloy decides: copper in the mix turns gold reddish; silver turns it white; smaller admixtures leave it yellow.

Does colour change the price?

No — and this surprises people. Value rides on karat (purity) and weight, not hue. White gold may be fashionable in Western markets, but fashion doesn’t move the scale. Choose the colour you love; the metal underneath prices the same.

Counter fact: we test and weigh; we don’t judge style. A rose 14K chain and a yellow 14K chain of equal weight get the same offer, to the cent.

Whatever colour your gold wears, its karat and weight set the price — find out both, free.
